Secure Remote Access

The Lantronix SRA Series is a Secure Remote Access solution that establishes an encrypted bidirectional communication tunnel between a Network Operations Center (NOC) and remote sites, typically without requiring any changes to the remote site’s firewall configuration. The solution consists of two components — a Remote Access Device (RAD) installed at the remote location, and a Management Access Portal (MAP) hosted at the NOC — where the RAD initiates the outbound connection to the MAP, enabling network administrators to manage remote devices via VPN or port forwarding. This inside-out connection model, combined with bidirectional encryption via OpenVPN, protects data in transit from eavesdropping and tampering, making it well-suited for Managed Service Providers and integrators who need to configure and monitor customer network equipment with minimal on-site interaction. Beyond secure access, the SRA Series supports real-time health monitoring, proactive maintenance tasks such as upgrades and backups, and more informed on-site dispatch decisions — all of which contribute to improved customer satisfaction and expanded service offerings.
