Bernhard Bruscha
Founder and Chairman of the Board

Bernhard Bruscha founded Lantronix in 1989. He has served as Chairman of our Board from June 1989 to May 2002 and from May 2012 to the present. Mr. Bruscha is a serial entrepreneur who started his career in the 1970s, as one of three founding partners in a computer networking software company and for more than 20 years has successfully founded, grown and sold or merged several technology and other companies. From May 2002 to April 2014, Mr. Bruscha served as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of transtec AG, a computer systems manufacturer and direct computer reseller, and he has also been an active designer of software systems. Mr. Bruscha is also Managing Director of TL Investment GmbH and Managing Director of technovest alpha GmbH located in Tübingen, Germany.

Paul Pickle
President and Chief Executive Officer

Paul Pickle joined Lantronix as president and chief executive officer. Most recently, Mr. Pickle served as president and chief operating officer of Microsemi Corporation, a leading provider of semiconductor and system solutions, from November 2013 until Microsemi was acquired by Microchip Technology Inc. in May 2018. Prior to his position as president and chief operating officer, he served Microsemi as executive vice president, leading business operations of the company’s Integrated Circuits group, where he played an integral role in the planning, developing, and execution of Microsemi’s leading edge IC solutions for communications, industrial, aerospace, and defense/security markets.

Mr. Pickle received his BSME, Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of South Florida – College of Engineering.

Bruce C. Edwards

Bruce C. Edwards been a member of our Board since 2012. Mr. Edwards serves as a director and Chairman of the Compensation Committee for Semtech Corporation, a supplier of analog and mixed-signal semiconductor products. He also serves as a director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Xirrus Corporation, a privately-held provider of high-performance wireless networks.

From 2000 to 2015, Mr. Edwards served as a director of Emulex Corporation, a global supplier of advanced storage networking infrastructure solutions. He also served as non-executive Chairman of Emulex from February 2014 until the company was acquired in May 2015. From February 2005 to November 2007, he served as the Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of Powerwave Technologies, Inc., a leading designer, manufacturer and supplier of advance coverage and capacity solutions for the wireless communications industry (“Powerwave”). From February 1996 until February 2005, Mr. Edwards served as Chief Executive Officer and as a director of Powerwave. He also served as President of Powerwave from February 1996 to May 2004. Earlier, Mr. Edwards served eleven years at AST Research, Inc., a personal computer company, where his last positions were Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and a director. He also served as a director, Chairman of the Audit Committee and member of the Nominating and Governance Committee of SouthWest Water Company, an owner and operator of water and wastewater utilities from August 2009 until the company was acquired in September 2010.

Mr. Edwards holds a B.S. in Commerce from Rider University and a Masters in Business Administration from the New York Institute of Technology.

Paul Folino

Paul F. Folino has served as a member of our Board since 2012. Mr. Folino currently serves on the Board of Directors of Microsemi Corporation, a designer, manufacturer and marketer of high-performance analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits and high reliability discrete semiconductors; CoreLogic, Inc., a provider of consumer, financial and property information, analytics and services to business and government, where he serves as Chairman of the Board; and Commercial Bank of California, where he serves as Chairman of the Board.

From 1993 to 2015, Mr. Folino served in a number of board and executive positions at Emulex Corporation, including as Emulex’s Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors from September 2006 to November 2011; as Chief Executive Officer from May 1993 to September 2006; and as Chairman of the Board of Directors from 2002 to 2006 and from November 2011 to August 2014. Prior to joining Emulex, Mr. Folino served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Thomas-Conrad Corporation, a manufacturer of local area networking products from 1991 to 1993.

Mr. Folino has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Central Washington State University and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Seattle University.

Margie Evashenk
Board of Director

Margie Evashenk joined the board in 2019. Ms. Evashenk is the CEO and Member of the Board of Kazan Networks, a privately held start-up that designs high performance and efficient NVMe over Fabrics technology since 2015. In addition to her work with Kazan Networks, she holds positions as a member of the Advisory Board at mind.ai. (2015—current) and as a stockholder representative at Open-Silicon (2015-current).

Previously, Ms. Evashenk held Entrepreneur in Residence positions at SKTA Innopartners (2015-2017) and Vonzos Partners (2015-2018) where her focus was on Artificial Intelligence. She has held key positions at Emulex Corporation including SVP and Chief Development Officer (2011-2014) and SVP Engineering (2006-2011).

Ms. Evashenk’s experience in engineering management, organizational development, and mergers and acquisitions in the technology sector over the past 30 years makes her an excellent addition to our board.

Martin Hale, Jr.
Director
Member of the Compensation Committee

Martin Hale, Jr., has been a member of our Board since 2016. Mr. Hale is the founder, CEO and portfolio manager of Hale Capital Partners, a New York-based private growth equity fund. Before founding Hale Capital Partners in 2007, he was a managing director and member of the founding team of Pequot Ventures, where he was responsible for helping to manage seven funds with approximately $2 billion in assets under management. He currently serves as a director for FalconStor Software, a software-defined storage solutions provider.

He has previously served as a director of several other public technology companies, including Adept Technology, Inc., a leading provider of intelligent vision-guided and autonomous robotic solutions (acquired by Omron Corporation); Telanetix, Inc., a cloud-based telecommunications service provider (acquired by Intermedia.net); and Paradigm Solutions, a cybersecurity solutions provider (acquired by CACI International, Inc.).

Mr. Hale earned a bachelor of arts degree cum laude from Yale University.

Hoshi Printer

Hoshi Printer has served on our Board since December 2010, and as the Chairman of the Audit Committee since July 2011. Mr. Printer currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of privately held Transient Plasma Systems (TPS), a developer of pulse power systems technology and as a member of the Board for privately held Information Management Resources, Inc. (IMRI), a provider of technology, cyber security, and engineering services.

In addition, Mr. Printer serves on the boards of the Southern California Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and Forum for Corporate Directors (FCD), both non-profit organizations dedicated to enhancing boardroom performance.

Mr. Printer’s background includes four decades of operational and financial management experience, including serving as chief financial officer for ten technology companies including Catalytica, developers of environmental technology; Soane Technologies, an ophthalmic and bioscience business; Neuron Data, developers of high-end, client-server, object- and web-oriented tools; Peerless Systems Corporation, an embedded imaging systems company; Autobytel, an online automotive marketplace; Private Access, Inc., a healthcare patient information technology company; and Avamar Technologies, Inc., a provider of enterprise data storage software. Earlier, Mr. Printer also served in senior management roles at Xerox Corporation for 18 years.

Mr. Printer holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from Stanford Graduate School of Business, a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering, and Bachelor of Science degrees in both Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
