Product Line Manager

The Product Line Manager is responsible for both product planning and product marketing. This includes managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, to deliver winning products. It includes working with sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The PLMs job also includes ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support the company’s overall strategy and goals.

The Product Line Manager is expected to:

  • Act as the leader and primary spokesperson for the product line
  • Define the product strategy and roadmap
  • Deliver MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification
  • Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
  • Be an expert with respect to the competition
  • Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product
  • Perform product demos to customers
  • Set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals
  • Deliver a monthly revenue forecast
  • Develop sales tools and collateral
  • Propose an overall budget to ensure success
  • Brief and train the sales force at quarterly sales meetings
  • Brief press and analysts and go on press tours

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Product Manager or Product Marketing Manager
  • 10+ years in the embedded software, semiconductor, Enterprise Networking or M2M/IoT Platforms area
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Engineering or Computer Science, MBA preferred
  • Technical background, with experience in Computer Networking, Cellular, Wi-Fi/BT M2M Technologies, IOT, Enterprise Application Integration
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Must be able to travel 30-40% of the time

IT Desktop Support Technician

We have an immediate need for an IT DESKTOP SUPPORT TECHNICIAN (854-01-0617).

The IT Desktop Support Technician will be responsible for responding to IT service requests and resolve issues within a reasonable time frame. Support is done by phone, through our web-based Help Desk system, or through user interfacing contact. The IT Desktop Support Technician performs troubleshooting, diagnostics, installation, and configuration of devices like IT systems, desktops, laptops, printers, other communication hardware besides installing/maintaining related desktop systems software and applications software.

Responsibilities

  • Be the front-end IT support person for majority of user requests, escalating tickets when necessary to IT Administrator and/or IT Director
  • Respond to email and phone calls regarding desktop and help desk requests
  • Record, track, and close tickets through help desk/problem management software
  • Provide support for standard productivity software [Microsoft (MS) Office Suite] and general Personal Computer (PC) support (Windows 7/10) and occasionally, Apple Macintosh computers
  • Provide support with Office 365 (O365) suite of products including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint Online etc.
  • Assist with the creation of new accounts and editing/termination of existing account in MS Active Directory, mailbox, distribution lists, resetting passwords, etc.
  • Independently handle purchase process for & setup and provision of IT hardware/software including new workstations, laptops, phone devices (8×8 Cloud VOIP Phones) and other devices; ably coordinate phone connectivity issues with 8×8, the VOIP phone provider
  • Troubleshoot basic network/connectivity problems (Cisco based network)
  • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and correct issues with network printers and/or commercial multi-function copiers (Konica Minolta)
  • Provide basic “how to” hardware, software, and printing assistance to users
  • Troubleshooting mobile devices and tablets: mostly Apple iOS & Samsung Android phones & iPads
  • Manage Verizon wireless accounts including obtaining and maintaining smartphones/lines, optimizing the corporate account to get the best deal from the wireless provider, monitoring spend, coordinate with provider to get issues resolved quickly
  • Troubleshoot/Resolve virus/malware infections
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Skills and Competencies

  • 2 years of experience supporting internal users in an IT Desktop/HD support position
  • A+ Cert, or other certifications or classes taken relating to above described Duties and Responsibilities
  • Basic understanding of/ability in Microsoft Active Directory
  • Intermediate ability to troubleshoot Windows 7/10

As a Senior Technical Program Manager you will be the focal point in helping the company deliver its new and exciting IoT hardware and software products to the market.  You will be instrumental in helping us create innovative ways to take multiple products to market, working in a cross functional fast moving pace with team members from engineering, product management, marketing, and sales.

In this role you will be responsible for delivering key hardware and software programs that span multiple technology and operational teams. These programs will include initiatives such as our new software platform technology as well as our next generation, market leading line of IoT gateways.

Responsibilities include establishing program schedules for new product introduction with collaboration with multiple cross functional teams, driving project schedules from design to release, and managing marketing launches, and tracking the status of key customer projects. You will lead and coordinate design/implementation efforts, coordinating across multiple teams to develop optimal solutions. You will be expected to make appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time-to-market, clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional and remote project teams.

The right candidate will possess a strong program management background, and will have demonstrated experience leading medium to large projects across multiple teams, and will have a well-rounded technical background in hardware and preferrably software platforms. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done. As a TPM, you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this roles.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of Technical Program Management experience with related technologies, including managing significant cross functional projects in mid-size or large companies
  • 4+ years hands-on experience building software solutions within current industry standard technologies
  • 2+ years’ experience leading development teams to design/architect software solutions or complex hardware platforms
  • A first-hand working knowledge of current web development technologies
  • Advanced knowledge of business applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, JIRA, etc
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements and prioritize tasks
  • Strong business and technical vision
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A deep understanding of software development in a team, and a track record of shipping software on time
