Systems Architect

Responsibilities

Product Manager

Reporting to the Director of Product Management, the Product Manager will lead a cross-functional team to define, develop and deliver market-driven solutions that meet customer needs and secure Lantronix’s competitive advantage and revenue growth.

JOB FUNCTION: Product Management / Product Marketing

Responsibilities

  • Acquiring and articulating a deep understanding of market problems, market opportunities, applications and customer and user needs to develop a product strategy.
  • Defining and prioritizing solutions to market problems.
  • Delivering a product roadmap that supports business unit objectives.
  • Collaborating with multiple functions including engineering, project management, applications and marketing throughout the product development process.
  • Leading the product team to achieve cost, schedule and performance objectives.
  • Articulating product value proposition, key benefits, features and competitive advantage.
  • Working with Marketing to develop and implement effective marketing campaigns, sales collateral and product launch plans.
  • Providing support to the Lantronix sales team, channel partners, customer service and key customers.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

Conduct market research (market problems, applications, competitive landscape); meet with internal and external customers to better understand customer and end-user needs.

  • Develop and document user stories, business cases, market and product requirements for product development projects.
  • Work closely with engineering and project management to ensure that products are developed according to the Product Development Process.
  • Work closely with Marketing to develop product launch plans and drive content creation for Marketing collateral.
  • Develop product training tools and content; ensure customers, account executives and channel partners receive comprehensive and effective product training.
  • As the product line expert, support sales of released products; assess opportunities at key accounts and work with sales to convert into revenue for the company.
  • Travel as needed to support marketing strategy and sales (20% -30%).

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related Science/Engineering discipline; or equivalent work experience. MBA is a plus.
  • 5+ years’ experience in software product development or product management or equivalent with increasing leadership and/or management responsibilities.
  • Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Familiarity with enterprise level cloud, SaaS, embedded software or hardware, and/or communication technologies.
  • Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor.

Principal Engineer

Job Description: The Principal Engineer will have a hands-on role to develop and enhance software and firmware for our industry leading IoT Modules and Enterprise Solutions products. Our platforms are at the forefront of driving M2M connectivity with intelligent device services that enable our customers to access remote device data within the enterprise. Lantronix creates modules to get serial data onto the network via Ethernet, WiFi, and BT (classic and BLE), and USB.

 Key Responsibilities: The Principal Engineer is responsible for design, development, integration and verification of software as well as for the maintenance and support of the software across multiple versions and platforms.

  • Design and development of features and fix bugs involving BT/BLE, WiFi, USB, and Ethernet technologies.
  • Write code primarily in C on real time operating system based embedded platforms.

Customer Support Specialist

Job Description

Lantronix is looking for a Customer Support Specialist that can manage customer support processes from the beginning to the end.  Oracle experience is a must for this position. This position reports to the Business Development Manager.  In addition to communicating directly by phone and email with customers, this individual will be the liaison between sales and other internal departments including operations, finance and engineering. A successful candidate will be self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.  Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working through challenging customer issues is key to success in this position.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Global Customer Support and Order Management for the AMERICAS, EMEA, AsiaPac/Japan Territories
  • Standard customer support tasks (including, but not limited to): data entry, order entry and maintenance in Oracle, order status updates, RMA Processing, stock rotations, special pricing, credit/billing issues, and ad-hoc reporting.
  • Interact with customers and internal sales team via phone and email to process and manage orders
  • Ensure customer inquiries are answered and/or resolved in a timely manner.
  • Handle customer requests for repair and product return. Verify warranty status and take appropriate action. Work closely with Tech Support.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • A.S./A.A. or some College with 3 – 5 years of Corporate-level experience
