Create Powerful Custom Applications

The Lantronix Software Developer's Kit allows you to create powerful new applications that solve a host of network connectivity challenges. With the introduction of the SDK, Lantronix's MSS device servers become the first serial-to-Ethernet networking products to offer enhanced programmability at the firmware level.

Here are just a few of the new features which can be programmed into the MSS100 or MSS4 using the SDK:

• Search for control characters or strings in the data stream
• Insert or delete characters in the data stream
• Upload stored data from internal memory
• Exercise control over buffering of serial data
• Optimization of packet sizing for Ethernet transmission

Fast Development

The programming environment for the Lantronix SDK utilizes a "C" interpreter which runs on top of the server's operating system. Using the SDK, you can quickly develop "C" code that adds the unique functionality you need to the Lantronix MSS platform. Lantronix also supplies a number of tested subroutines that you can use to simplify the design of your applications and get them running in a flash. Lantronix will maintain an ongoing library of new subroutines and functions that will be available for all licensed SDK developers to help speed the development process.
