(Nasdaq: LTRX), a global provider of Edge AI and Industrial IoT solutions that power NDAA-compliant unmanned systems, critical infrastructure and resilient enterprise networks, today announced the availability of its new Open-M™ 720G and 520G System-on-Module (SOM) solutions, based on the Genio 720 and Genio 520 SoCs from MediaTek Inc. (TWSE: 2454), a global leader in fabless semiconductor design. Lantronix is the only North American supplier of MediaTek-based SOMs.

Built on 6nm process technology, with 10 TOPS of AI performance, 8-core Arm processors and power draw of less than 4 watts, Open-M 720G and 520G deliver a cost-effective mid- to low-tier option for OEMs seeking single- or dual-camera designs, with advanced multimedia, multiple display interfaces and industrial I/O. Native support for the NVIDIA TAO framework further shortens the AI model development cycle, enabling OEMs to train, optimize and deploy edge AI models without starting from scratch. A companion development kit ships alongside the modules, backed by at least 10 years of product longevity, strict bill-of-materials control and support for Android 15, Yocto Linux and Ubuntu.

The Open-M 720G and 520G will be unveiled at Commercial UAV Expo, Sept. 1-3, 2026, at Caesars Forum in Las Vegas, where Lantronix will run a live AI and FLIR thermal imaging demonstration on a drone at Booth 1835, pairing real-time onboard AI inference with thermal imaging for search-and-rescue and Drone as First Responder (DFR) use cases.
