How Can Better Networking Allow Us to Provide Better Patient Care?
When nurses and hospital staff are focused on trying to keep up with equipment in 24 neonatal and 77 adult ICUs, it takes time away from the patients. In a medical center in Boston, the nurses and staff were trying to keep track of over 6 machines per patient, plus deliver outstanding patient care. In addition, the hospital’s current clinical information system required clinicians to manually jot notes into charts and then transfer the notes into the electronic system, a process that introduces human error. In order to alleviate the stress of manual entry and enable the staff to provide more patient care, we recommended the hybrid ETS8PS terminal/device server.
