Orange County Executive Named Among 2014 Most Influential Women in M2M Technology

Lantronix Director of Engineering Doris Mattingly, technology industry veteran honored by top M2M publication, Connected World, for leadership in Internet of Things industry

Irvine, Calif. – March 26, 2014 – Lantronix (NASDAQ:LTRX) Inc.’s Director of Engineering, Doris Mattingly, was among 42 women named to the “2014 Women of M2M” list by Connected World Magazine. M2M refers to “machine to machine” – which concerns technologies that allow wired and wireless systems to communicate with other devices, also known as the “Internet of Things” (IoT).

Who: Doris Mattingly is the Director of Engineering for Lantronix – a global provider of smart networking and communications solutions for Internet of Things (IoT) and machine-to-machine (M2M) applications. Ms. Mattingly is a 25 year veteran in the technology industry. Her past experience includes lead engineering roles with Ericsson, Hughes Aircraft Company, and McDonnell Douglas Astronautics Corp. Ms. Mattingly earned her BSEE in Engineering and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Boston University. She and her family are residents of Huntington Beach, California.

What: Connected World Magazine, a leading publication focused on M2M business and technology, annually honors influential women in the M2M industry. This year’s Women of M2M list is comprised of some of the most powerful women in the technology sector representing many of the largest companies in the world. These women were selected because they each brought a unique lens to their respective companies that has helped push connected technologies forward.

“We couldn’t be more pleased to have Doris recognized among such an outstanding group of M2M technology executives,” said Daryl Miller, vice president of Engineering for Lantronix. “Connected World is a thought leading publication for M2M, and a champion of women in technology. On behalf of the entire company, I congratulate Doris on this accomplishment, and thank her and her team for their outstanding work and dedication.”

Connected World magazine is unique in its coverage of the rapidly growing space of interconnected technologies. Each of the women on the list has contributed to this, moving their respective company towards a common goal of bridging the gap between people and machines.

“There are few lists that celebrate successful women and only one that recognizes women of the M2M and technology space. Call it the Internet of Things or M2M, our industry and these women have enabled the world of people and machines to collide gracefully,” says Peggy Smedley, editorial director, Connected World magazine and president, Specialty Publishing Co.

Other 2014 honorees include Marissa Mayer (Yahoo), Florence Hudson (IBM), Julie Larson-Green (Microsoft), Nancy Gioia (Ford Motor Company), Peggy Johnson (Qualcomm), and Sandy Carter (IBM).

When: The list of honorees were announced on March 18, 2014. All the women selected will be honored at a dinner in Chicago on April 10, 2014.
