InteropNet SDN Lab to Feature the SLC 8000
Lantronix will be showcasing a live demonstration of its new SLC 8000 – advanced modular console manager – and other infrastructure management solutions at the upcoming Interop Las Vegas 2015 booth #1058. Designed to reduce deployment and management complexity and costs by providing secure, centralized out-of-band management to distributed IT equipment, the new SLC 8000 can be expanded from eight to 48 ports by customers in the field with ease while allowing them to mix and match RJ45 with USB console connections using 16-port I/O modules that are also individually available for purchase. This modular design makes the SLC 8000 the first of its kind, allowing users to simply add or swap modules to expand device port density and power supply, or introduce new interfaces while getting its advanced features and processing power. The InteropNet SDN Lab will also showcase multiple SLC 8000 console managers throughout the show floor providing secure console access to equipment from vendors including Cisco, Big Switch, Ruckus, Infoblox, Interface Masters, and more with RJ45 and USB connections. Arrays of Lantronix Spiders will also be showcased delivering scalable KVM-over-IP access to various devices to demonstrate its simple cascading solution for real rack deployment scenarios, while the vSLM central management software aggregates these devices on a single browser.
The InteropNet SDN Lab is a collaborative lab environment on the Expo Floor that demonstrates interoperability of solutions from different vendors for Software-Defined Networking (SDN) systems and applications educating attendees on its principles, functions, and features. InteropNet tours around the expo floor and the labs are also offered throughout April 28th to 30th.
