Recognized as Asia’s largest international communications and information technology exhibition, the event gave attendees an opportunity to connect/network throughout the four days, during which they were treated to an extensive display of innovative products and technologies. There were over 1,100 exhibitors representing 49 countries & regions.
The company’s exhibit booth at CommunicAsia was extremely busy and buzzing with energy while the team showcased their new Carrier Ethernet portfolio highlighting the CE 2.0 certified S3290 Network Interface Device (NID). There were multiple conversations around power over Ethernet (POE) and industrial Ethernet requirements. The team noted visitor interest in Transition Networks’ Carrier Ethernet solutions, POE / POE+ products, and the company’s Modular Rack Mount Layer 3 Ethernet Switch.

With our Carrier Ethernet solutions, our brand is beginning to be more associated with the Carrier Ethernet market, as well as the Enterprise market for which we are known.

Product Focus:
The key product demonstrated by the Transition Networks team at CommunicAsia was the Carrier Ethernet 2.0, S3290 NID. This product combines Transition Networks’ heritage of copper/fiber NIDs with the benefits of CE 2.0. The S3290 NID is one of the most compact NIDs on the market, complete with a fanless design and outdoor temperature range, making it ideal for harsh environments where space is typically at a premium. This is the first of a number of CE 2.0 enabled products that Transition Networks will be releasing in the near future under the Transition Networks Liberator family portfolio. Products in the Liberator family will provide a bridge from legacy networks, with the manageability of CE 2.0.
