Software Plug-in for Integrating Lantronix Switches into Milestone XProtect

The Lantronix Milestone XProtect Plug-in is an add-on to Milestone’s XProtect Video Management System (VMS). The plug-in simplifies video and network management in security and surveillance networks by integrating common controls into XProtect’s graphical interface.
This solution provides users with deep network visibility, secure remote diagnostics, and rich insights about the connected devices.

Features

The plug-in enables easier security operation by providing convenient access to management functions for Lantronix Power over Ethernet (PoE) switches, such as:

• Send switch traps/alarms/events to the XProtect client for immediate notification

• Example notifications:
  • Authentication (Failed and successful)
  • PoE events
  • Network events
  • Link status
  • Switch boot/restart

• Remotely power cycle PoE to reboot malfunctioning camera
• Perform cable diagnostics test remotely to quickly isolate any cabling issues
• View detailed network port statistics
• View switch and device PoE statistics
• Access to Lantronix topology map where switches and cameras can be added to automatically drawn map
