EDS5000 Series Overview

The EDS5000 Series is the next-generation, rack-mountable device server that supports 8, 16, and 32 serial ports to Ethernet (10/100/1000BASE-T or 100/1000 SFP) for easy remote access and management of virtually any serial-based equipment such as security equipment, medical devices, or POS terminals with data access speeds of up to 921.6 kbps baud rate.

EDS5000 device servers deliver an unprecedented level of intelligence and safety with SSL/ TLS and SSH security protocols as well as AES encryption. The EDS Series provides enterprise level security, allowing safe remote Ethernet access and management to your serial equipment
from practically anywhere.

Lantronix core software carries 30 years of ‘data-center grade’ protection, so each networked device has the same level of security as corporate data center equipment and provides robust defenses in hostile Internet attacks.

Easy Configuration
Setup is a breeze with Windows-based Lantronix Provisioning Manager, which can be used locally or remotely with the Lantronix Percepxion™ device management platform. Additionally, the EDS5000 family can be managed via a web browser or command line interface.
