The customer – a leading provider of power management solutions for buildings and houses. More specifically, these solutions monitor the power consumption within a building and allow the monitoring system to adjust power settings based on the data that is transmitted. Not only does this reduce energy costs for their customers, it decreases CO2 emissions making it environmentally friendly.

The company wanted to provide their customers with the ability to remotely monitor and manage a building’s power consumption; including, air conditioning, lighting, and other electrical units. The power consumption data for each room and floor of the building needed to be transmitted wirelessly and stored on the company’s main server to allow the monitoring system to adjust settings appropriately.
