Lantronix Announces New Board Of Directors
Larry Sanders elected Chairman of the Board
Irvine, CA, January 4, 2010 – Lantronix, Inc. (Nasdaq: LTRX), a leading global provider of smart connectivity solutions that enable business and technology professionals to access any device, anywhere, anytime, today announced its new slate of directors, approved at its December 15, 2010 Annual Meeting of Shareholders. The new Board will consist of seven members, including newly-elected Chairman of the Board, Larry Sanders. Mr. Sanders was elected to the Lantronix Board of Directors in 2007, and has served since then in various roles on the Compensation and Audit Committees. The company concurrently announced that Mr. Hoshi Printer has been newly elected to the Lantronix Board of Directors. "Our priority is to enhance shareholder value" said Mr. Sanders. "With a stronger management team and an expanded product line, we expect to see improved revenue and profit growth in the coming year."
The new Board of Directors includes:
- Mr. Larry Sanders, Chairman. Mr. Sanders recently served as a director of Xantrex Technology Inc., and has served on the boards of six different companies. He was previously CEO of Sanera Systems. Prior to that, he held CEO positions at Crossroads Systems Corporation and Fujitsu Computer Products of America. Mr. Sanders began his career with the IBM Corporation where, during his 13 year career he held a number of sales, marketing and general management positions.
- Mr. Bernhard Bruscha, Director. Founder of Lantronix, Mr. Bruscha served as the Company's chairman until May 2002. A serial entrepreneur for more than 20 years, Mr. Bruscha has started several technology distribution and hardware companies and currently serves as CEO of TL Investment GmbH and Technovest Alpha GmbH, two privately held investment companies.
- Mr. Jerry Chase, President, CEO, and Director. Mr. Chase joined Lantronix as President and Chief Executive Officer in February 2008. Most recently Mr. Chase was president, CEO for Terayon Communication Systems. Prior to that, he held CEO positions at Thales Broadcast & Multimedia and Thales Broadcast & Multimedia (USA). Mr. Chase began his career as an officer and pilot in the U.S. Marine Corps, afterward attending Harvard Business School, where he received his MBA.
- Mr. Hoshi Printer, Director. Mr. Printer most recently served as Executive Vice President and CFO for Autobytel. Prior to that, he served as CFO and Vice President of Finance and Administration for Peerless Systems Corporation. He has also held the CFO post at a number of other high-tech companies, including Neuron Data, Soane Technologies and Catalytica. Mr. Printer began his career at Xerox Corporation, where he spent 17 years, the last six as Vice President of Finance.
- Mr. John Rehfeld, Director and chairman of the compensation committee. Mr. Rehfeld is currently on the board of directors of ADC Corporation, Local.com Corporation, Overtone Inc. and Enkeboll Design. Prior to that he held chief executive officer positions at Spruce Technologies, Inc., ProShot Golf, Inc., Proxima Corporation and ETAK, Inc. Mr. Rehfeld has served as an adjunct professor for the Executive MBA program at Pepperdine University since 1998.
- Mr. Howard Slayen, Director and chairman of the audit committee. Previously, Mr. Slayen has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Quaartz Inc., a web-hosted communications business. During a 28 year career with PricewaterhouseCoopers/Coopers & Lybrand, Mr. Slayen held a variety of positions including his last position as a Corporate Finance Partner. Mr. Slayen has also served on the Board of Directors of Aehr Test Systems, Netopia, Inc. and Quark BioPharmaceutical, as well as several private companies.
- Mr. Thomas Wittenschlaeger, Director and chairman of the nominating and governance committee. Mr. Wittenschlaeger has served as the Chairman and CEO of Raptor Networks Technology since 2004. Prior to that Mr. Wittenschlaeger served for two years as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Chief Technology Officer of Personnel Group of America, Inc., which was later renamed Venturi Partners, Inc.
